In Turkey's EU accession process, there exist important improvements and transformations and in this context, studies on the harmonization of Turkish legislation with EU continue in a comprehensive way. As a result of these changes, EU Directives has adopted also into our labour legislation.
Article 77 of the Labour Law No. 4857 (Official Gazette No. 25134, dated 10.06.2003) published due to these adoption studies states that "The employers are obliged to check whether the measures taken for labour health and safety are complied with or not, to keep the workers informed of occupational risks they are exposed to, measures to be taken, and their legal rights and obligations, and to train them on issues relating to labour health and safety."
Article 81 of the Labour Law No. 4857 changed with the Law No. 5763 on the Amendment of Labour Law and Some Laws (Official Gazette No. 26887, dated 26.05.2008) implies that "For enterprises, permanently employing at least fifty persons, where works are performed continuously for longer than six months, employers are obliged to establish occupational health and safety unit depending on the number of employees and the degree of danger of the work performed to take labour safety measures at the workplace, to determine and monitor the implementation of the measures to be taken to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases. Employers are obliged to employ physician, health personnel and occupational safety specialist in this occupational health and safety unit."
In addition to these, according to the new labour legislation prepared in accordance with the EU Directives, risk assessment should be carried out in all enterprises to determine the danger in workplaces and take necessary measures in this direction.

According to the Article 82 of the Labour Law No. 4857, occupational health and safety consulting and specialism services and risk assessment studies, obligatory under the legislation, are performed by our "A Class" certified occupational safety specialists.
